SHIRAKAWA Village
This is a farmers’ market housed in a small gassho-zukuri house which sells fresh produce, homemade pickles and more. The syrup used for the kakigori (shaved ice) sold here is made from home-grown blueberries and strawberries, and you can still taste the bits of fruit in the syrup, which retains the natural sweetness and slight sourness of the fruit, making it highly popular among customers.
